Who we are

Laurel Food Trucks is a curated directory helping people discover food trucks, trailers and event food options serving Laurel, Jones County and nearby communities in Mississippi. This policy describes information handled through our website and inquiries. Contact us at info@laurelfoodtrucks.com.

Information we collect and why

• Feedback and questions: your name, email, message, inquiry type and any optional phone number or truck name, so we can reply and investigate corrections.
• Catering and event inquiries: contact details, event date, location, guest count, food preferences, truck preference and any budget or other details you provide, so we can review your request and discuss next steps.
• Truck submissions: your contact information and relationship to the business, plus business details, service areas, menu links, photographs or photo links, and permission information, so we can verify, create or update a listing.
• Technical information: hosting and website services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages and timestamps to deliver the site, maintain security and diagnose errors. If you use an available account feature, WordPress also processes account details and login information.

Please do not send payment card details, government identification, sensitive health information or other information we do not need for your request.

Ratings and reviews

When you submit a review, we collect your review text, selected ratings, display name and email address, along with technical information such as your IP address to help moderate abuse. Approved reviews, ratings, display names and posting dates may be shown publicly. Your email address is not displayed with your review. If you choose the comment form’s save-details option, your browser may store comment cookies for future visits. Reviews are subject to moderation; contact us to request correction or removal of your personal information.

Inquiries and vendor referrals

Contact, catering and truck-submission messages are sent to our directory team at info@laurelfoodtrucks.com. Naming a truck does not automatically send your inquiry to that truck. Before forwarding your personal contact or event details to a vendor, we will contact you and explain the proposed sharing. You may instead contact a business directly through its listing.

Paid lead referrals are not part of the current inquiry process. If we introduce a paid referral option, we will explain who would receive your details and any vendor-paid referral arrangement, and ask for your choice before sharing. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or authorize unrelated marketing.

Public listing information and photos

Business names, descriptions, public business contact details, cuisines, service areas, menus and approved photos intended for a listing may be published. Personal submitter contact details are for our team unless you separately identify them as public business information. Send only photos you own or have permission to share, and tell us if a submitted detail should remain private.

Cookies, maps and other services

The site uses WordPress and Hostinger hosting and email services. Cookies or similar browser storage may support login sessions, preferences, security and website features. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking them may affect features.

Our directory maps load OpenStreetMap tiles, and the Contact page embeds Google Maps. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. These requests can send your IP address, browser information and page/referrer information to the provider; embedded services may also use their own cookies. A location search uses the location you enter, and your browser controls any request to access your device location.

Provider information: Hostinger Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy, and OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy. Social-sharing controls and links to Facebook, truck websites or other services take you to providers with their own privacy practices. Information you submit directly to those services is handled by them.

When information may be shared

Hosting, email, security and other service providers process information needed to operate the website and respond to requests. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, misuse or security concerns. Vendor inquiry sharing follows the process above; listing information intended for publication is public.

Retention, security and your choices

Inquiry records may remain in our email and related records for follow-up, corrections and resolving questions. Listing records may remain while a business is listed and as needed to maintain its history. Hosting logs and backups have separate retention cycles. We do not promise immediate removal from all backups when a record is deleted.

Email us to ask what information you supplied, correct it, request removal, or withdraw permission for a proposed referral before it is sent. We may ask for information needed to verify your request and may retain records required for legal, security or dispute purposes. We take reasonable care with information, but no online service or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children

This service is intended for a general audience and not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit personal information about children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

Changes and questions
